    Default ATCO Gas Line Relocation

Anyone ever had this done during a Reno or garage build? Know the cost/timing associated with this? Any info appreciated.

    Thanks!

    I have also done this.
Just call Atco, they will come and do an estimate for free.
Then you decide if you want it done.

I had to get mine buried down more, from 2ft under, down to 6ft under in order to get some landscaping done, i believe it was $2900 all in.

I see, a little pricier than i would have hoped, but maybe if i do some of the work it will mitigate cost haha.

    Thanks for the input!

Much of it depends on how deep you need it, and what equipment / crew they need.

For my job they had to bring in the backhoe and dig a pretty deep trench.

Thread hijack... Has anyone had their powerline moved/buried? I imagine it would be similar costs?

Depends a lot on the type of powerine we're talking about. The atco line JFuckingC is talking about is a small service drop. If you're relocating similar (secondaries into your house) costs would be similar. If you're talking primary, you can equate that to relocating a high pressure gas line. Costs are higher. Send me a text if you're serious and I can look at it for you.

    Update:

Option 1 - Have the line excavated then sleeved then re buried. either wait for excavation or build and have them directional drill a sleeved line somehow (2-3 weeks out) $2,800

Options 2 - Build my garage, plumb new gas lines to back of garage from house, have atco out to excavate alley, tie in new line to relocated meter at back of garage, abandon existing line in place. can build immediately and they take care of it after. $1,700

Took option two, me and my dad will do the plumbing

Just in case anyone was curios. Thanks again The Cosworth for reaching out!
