The more I hear about Disney parks the less I want to go there with my family.

I could take a couple grand and have a nice experience elsewhere. Not the same experience, but an equally enjoyable one.

On that note, for folks with several kids, check out great wolf lodges. Looks great.

See all this all tells me is u want them to build a third US park, the fact that they don’t tells me their attendance numbers are more fragile than they let on ( namely the market is already Disneyland saturated and a third park would mostly just cannabalize existing customers ).

    My vote is Atlanta

Love Disney. Park cost doesn’t even factor into it.

As a shareholder I approve of this money grab.

New option for those who aren't as rich as rage2, but want to have a similar experience.

I have long had the same feeling, it just seems like a huge hassle. But that said, a friend of mine that was of the same opinion took his family down this year and said he was blown away, even he got caught up in the experience and made some amazing memories with his kids. Even if it's a hassle, the Mouse knows how to put on a show.

It’s such a fun place, if I had to choose a place to be anywhere in the world it ranks top 10 for me for sure.

Seeing the level of excitement of my 2/3 year old there was worth any level of inconvenience or cost.

I’ve had great trips there as an adult with no kids too.

    Different strokes I guess

Yeah it's one of those places that if you can afford is worth the headache. I'm willing to spend a lot to give my kids (and I hate this term, forgive me in advance) core memories.

Given that they're out of the womb, I don't measure their age in weeks like a degenerate. They're 4 and 6.

Just got back from taking the 3 year old down. Spent way too much money but it was so worth it for that little dudes excitement. It really is a cool fun place both with kids and on adult only trips. Won't be chopping at the bit to go back but 100% will once the little guy is old enough to do all the rides.

Did stumble on one pro-tip though, could to a Disneyland Tokyo trip for similar or less all in with the extra bonus of going to Japan and not having to deal with Americans or Baptists yelling at us on the way into the park "that Disney will send us all to hell". Definitely going to look into this option next time.
