Looking for this as well, anyone we've talked to end up being really expensive. Probably willing to do myself, but really not excited about DIY these days.
The reason why it is expensive for small jobs is two fold. Taking up the time to do a small job if there isn't anything in the area and more importantly finishing. Sure you can do it yourself but the results usually suck. You spend all that money to cheap out on the finishing.

I poured 4 yards a couple years back and ordered a truck through Burnco. I extended my garage pad, made a sidewalk from the house to the garage with steps and a apron off the garage. I had zero experience aside from a couple youtube videos and advice from friends, I borrowed the finishing tools but they could be bought for reasonably cheap. Looked great until the day we sold the place and assume its doing fine now. The sidewalk was a simple brushed finished and the garage was a smooth/flat finish- I am certain any other type of finish would have required a professional.
It was a bit of a panic at the time and was stressful for sure, but it worked out. I would for sure DIY another small job in the future.
Yeah, I've seen good and lasting results from DIY broom finish as well. Assume smooth float finish would be harder.

Over a large area for sure.......as I witnessed in my current garage floor that the builder just pounded out and replaced because it was wavy like the ocean! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
