Yeah, yeah, I know I am of a bit older demographic but the "my bad" phrase is really quite annoying to me.
Either just apologize or don't, no need for a flippant 'my bad'. Especially annoying if those words cone out of any service/sales person's mouth.

First encountered this with a guy who transferred into my high school back in the 90's. Thought it sounded really weird then, and still think it sounds weird now.
Doesn't offend me though, it's just as flippant as most people's apologies.

I use it, only to try not to adapt the stereotypical "Sorry" that's used in Can'tada. I do tend to use "Right!" a lot though, but it is like the North American version of "Genau" (pronounced Ge-Now), which is a very traditional Swiss word, and used very often (roughly means "Exactly!").
