Default Time for a new internet plan

Looking to see what people on here currently have, and how much a month it costs.
    I'm considering shaw 75, 150, telus , lightspeed?
    Any others to look at?
Is there anyway to negotiate the plans with shaw? I like the promo prices, but the after rates of $100+/month are a bit much.
    Hittin' every hole

We are have Shaw 75, it's been reasonable. We were actually able to negotiate a very good rate with them, and are quite happy. Basically an ongoing promo price.

Yea we are looking at Teksavvy. Buy their modem and then setup your own, good router. Much better than the junk routers that the ISPs like to give.

Are you saying you don't like routers with a built in fan that run hot so the fan is running very often and is quite loud?

Except you are dealing with a 3rd party and if you have issues good luck.

Teksavvy is just a Shaw reseller.

Wife is back in school. Got the Shaw 150 for $40 a month, first month free, while she is in school (Sep-end of April), $89 thereafter until next year's Shaw deal for students.

Been with Lightspeed 3 years, the only issue I had was my own router started having issues, replaced it and its been solid ever since.

75mbit for 42$ a month and don't have to try and jump between promos or call and threaten to leave just to keep the same price.

If Telus Fiber is an option, then I would go with that hands down. Been on Fiber for long time now, 150mbps up and down unlimited, no reason to ever switch. Think it's $85 a month by itself, it's so good I don't even bother with promo pricing and such, I just pay for it and call it a day. Love the 150mbs upload speeds, got parents and sister in BC watching my Plex stuff all the time

Shaw 330Mbps for $85/mo. I called retentions, asked once (did not threaten anything or to cancel) and they gave it to me. Dad walked into the DT physical location and they gave him an even better deal (full bundle with cable & phone) just for asking.

No need to threaten anything or play games with promos assuming their policies haven't changed in the last 1-2 months.
