Default Headphones for TV (low latency)

Need to watch TV quietly without waking up the fam. Anyone want to toss out recommendations for either RF signal or bluetooth transmitter for TV with minimal latency? Tried out the Avantree bluetooth transmitters during the holidays but there's a noticeable lag/delay in speech (when someone is talking on screen the sound lags by a few milliseconds so it makes everything look poorly dubbed). Noticed the fine print buried deep in the packaging says that most bluetooth headphones use SBC codec for which there will be a noticeable lag. Bluetooth aptx codec is needed for low latency. I have a few pairs of pricey bluetooth headphones and none of them support the low latency codecs. Is RF better with cutting out latency?

Gaming headphones that have dedicated non-bluetooth transmission seem to be designed for low latency.

    Check rtings?

I had some turtle beach RF ones for gaming that I used for normal TV as well, it had no noticeable lag at all, so I'm guessing RF is better. Annoying though because you need direct line of sight for the transmitter/receiver. So you can't get up to grab a snack, or even turn your head without getting static and/or losing reception.

I have this one, seems to work well but I'm not picky

There is the occasional loss but that is probably because I have a ton of RF interference in my house

If you need just the transmitter try this guy

Don’t most TVs and receivers (where you are drawing your output from) have a audio sync function?

Used Jabra in-ear headphones for my phone for a bit. Worked fine but was not happy with the battery life.

Ended up getting a 15ft 3.5mm cable to plug directly from tv into a gaming headset. Comfy, no lag, and no need to charge, zero complains.

Yeah I'm considering this as a low cost easy solution too. It's gonna be for late night TV watching so the cord shouldn't bother anyone else.
