Or poor maintenance. The one area where activists get it right is it is criminal how lax maintenance and repair of pipelines is, including the regulatory regime that oversees it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Can you provide any instances of what you said?

Id challenge you to show that any of the majors lack in the maintenance/inspection of their pipelines intentionally. You realize the PR nightmare this gets you? In today's climate, we are spending record numbers of dollars at legacy pipelines to ensure we don't get our names in the paper.

They have their own contractors audit their own work with zero NEB input. Its absolutely mind blowing.Last Friday, the NEB issued a public letter to TransCanada. It said "many of the allegations of regulatory non-compliance identified by the complainant were verified by TransCanada's internal audit."
The NEB said it was "concerned by TransCanada's non-compliance with NEB regulations, as well as its own internal management systems and procedures."
Pipeline safety of 'paramount importance'
The regulator warned the company it would not tolerate further infractions of regulations related to welding inspections, the training of pipeline inspectors and internal engineering standards. It also announced a further audit of the company's inspection and engineering procedures.
"Pipeline safety is of paramount importance to the NEB, and it will take all available actions to protect Canadians and the environment," the regulator stated.
The board, however, said the deficiencies "do not represent immediate threats to the safety of people or the environment."
It's criminal how underreported serious issues like these are, versus all the other bullshit about pipelines being talked about. Make no mistake, TransCanada is a SHIT company when it comes to following regulations.
Indeed no shit, challenge accepted, not that it will change your worldview at all. Pipelines are indeed good. But thinking ANY company has our best interests at heart, what a naive way of thinking to have. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Nat gas has condensates but by the time it hits distribution it is basically dry because of the condensate value and shipping specs. But at 900 psi, there may have been a problem with liquid ethane.
