Default Bedding: Sheets Sets, Duvet Cover Sets and Duvets etc...

So we're finally switching to a king size mattress (probably Douglas or Endy) and frame after replacing my 9 year old queen bed and frame.

This time, we don't want to cheap out on bedding and duvets. We've so far looked at Endy, Brooklinen, and items from the Bay and Bed, Bath and Beyond etc., but was wondering if anyone has any other good recommendations for really comfortable high thread count bedding that doesn't break the bank.

    Thanks.

    Haha - this.

Anything you would actually want to get a discount on, you can't. Anything you CAN get a discount on, can either be found cheaper elsewhere/online or is on sale every other day anyway.

Just look at the huge exclusions list - anything of value is excluded (i.e. Vitamix)

I just put these on our new bed. So good.

I like the feel of percale (the high end hotel feel) over what you get in most common home sheets.

I got some of my bedding/sheets/duvets from India. Pretty good stuff.

We've found the Cariloha bamboo bedding to be exquisite not only in feel but temperature regulation. Unfortunately no locations in Canada so no way to try before you buy unless you're heading to the US or Caribbean any time soon.

I haven't been happy with the bamboo sheets I've had, fwiw.

I use Walmart sheets and that works for me but I had no idea how high end bedding stuff can get until a gf took me to this place in Inglewood. http://www.shadesofsleep.ca/ You can spend thousands easily.

You can go have a beer with erchrry in that area.

No matter the product, some place will have a "high end" version, that's marginally better but a lot more expensive.

I'm here right now. Too lazy to bring anything back for you guys.

I've been buying my bedding from here over the years:

Would be nice to get something from a Canadian site with Canadian pricing. This place does USPS and cheap Canada shipping so never any customs or brokerage, but the USD is killing the value. Pretty sure all this shit is from China or India anyways.

Bed Bath & Beyond is the worst place to buy pretty much anything. I have no real value to add to this thread.

I get my sheets from HomeSense. I have an infant daughter, so literally anything is comfortable when I get to lay down.

    @bleu +1

HomeSense has random sales for Egyptian cotton. 800 thread count mmm....

Made a big difference from IKEA sheets.

I bought a Roomba there and they told me they do not have a return policy, and that I could literally return it at any time if it ever had a problem and they would refund me. I haven't shopped there in so long I have no idea if that's still their policy, but if it is, there would be some value in that I think.

But for the most part it's just all the usual good stuff at 100% MSRP and zero sales, or high margin junk eligible for their 20% off.

On a whim, i bought the amazon basics, microfiber sheets for ours. They're soft and cheap - I actually just bought a duvet cover yesterday to match (a whole 29 bucks lol). The only downside is they're a little thin, so i feel like they'll wear easily. But for that cheap, I don't mind.

I don't like the feel as much. I've found that they haven't worn as well (although this isn't typical of the reputation for bamboo). They start to look old sooner.

It's pretty subjective. But there is nothing as nice as having good old cotton next to your skin.

Yeah I bought a couple sets of these too. There's no doubt there are better sheets and covers out there, but for the price these are surprisingly good.

Same, bought a set for the guest bed and was really surprised how good they were for the price. Ended up using them on the master bed instead, can't complain.
