Notley is unbearable
Kenney is an insult to basic rudimentary, intelligence even to us knuck busting greese monkeys
Liberal over my dead body.
so i'll be staying home.
Same as I did last time, Alberta Party is where the fun is!
As with every election in the past 100 years, you're not ever voting for what you truly want or believe in. You're either voting for the lesser of 2 evils, or just making sure one party you vehemently oppose does not get in. I wish the Libertarians could get enough traction to be relevant, but in the meantime I need to ensure that no Liberal or NDP government gets back in. So it appears UCP is my only choice. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Does the UCP or any other party for that matter have any election platform/promises up yet?
Pretty sure UCP's main platform is reversal of all NDP nonsense. Cut business tax, cut income tax, reverse WCB ruling that screwed farmers, etc. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I wonder if they'll venture into health care premiums territory again. I get the feeling that contributed to them getting the boot last time. That won't pair well with property tax increases to pay for the Olympics. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

No real choice, no vote. They are basically the same in results. (minus Kenney, he's extra deplorable).
Enough of the dumb and dumber show ..... time for something new: Libertarian Part of AB/Canada (centrist)
https://www.libertarian.ca/platform_2015
Fiscal conservative, socially liberal.
Too early to decide because Kenney has not said much what UCP stands for and no concrete fiscal numbers.
They better has awesome numbers to get out of debt for me to overlook lakes of fires.
As always I'll be watching polls like a hawk and pretending they matter to my choice. I'm a poll junkie.

Environment point 1 scares the hell out of me. That will be a ridiculous nightmare for O/G companies especially when it comes to dealing with First Nations.
Also “ownership of resources below and above it” are you fucking kidding me? Like when a native band tried to sue the government for transmitting radio waves through “their airspace” give me a break haha, this just sounds like dumb and dumber 2.0

Sorry to say it, but UCP for me. NDP PPA bungle was enough for me, that and the tax increases and so on and so forth.
I don't like any party but the NDP is downright reckless with spending. Need to do something about Healthcare costs. Almost 50% of the budget is going to that one social program. Needs reform.
AB Party is shitty old PC party 2.0.
Libs are useless.
Libertarian is nice but just 'not there' yet.

'The Alberta Advantage' ensured that not only was capital spending relying on royalties, but operational budgets as well, because you can have low taxes when you have royalties. As long as oil prices stay where they're budgeted to be, it won't be a problem. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If they do drop, you can deal with them anyway you wish, just don't do anything drastic: don't cut services that matter (so the expensive ones), or capital projects that matter (also the expensive ones) and definitely don't raise taxes.
So naturally everybody is interested in seeing how each side will deal with this.
Holy shit, that article doesn't paint a pretty picture. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

There is no such thing. To be a liberal, you NEED to spend money. That is why there is essentially zero libertarian parties in government anywhere in the world. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
