I'm Just really hoping that Trump bullies Justin enough to scrap the Carbon Tax.

Doesn't mean anything yet. He signed it "subject to renegotiation of terms" which could mean anything.
Trump did say he wanted a bigger cut of the profits.
Also, there were reports that pipelines in the US must use US steel.
We'll see I guess.
This was early in the campaign but if Trump wants as big of a cut now as he did then it may not be profitable until oil climbs quite a bit higher.

Big deal, just wait for the 15% tariff on flow through the line.
No double meat subs over this.

Yeah, TCPL hasn't internally approved it because they don't know the terms they will have to operate under.
My guess: Nothing gets built (or even started) in Trumps first term in office.

I think it'll get done quick personally.
I think trump will just make sure all parts of US made, works have to be US etc etc. A lot of patriotic job creation bs, but I think that will be enough to make him look awesome in the publics eye for making america great again
From what I've seen on Reddit (I know, I know) trump wants the pipeline built from American materials, and half of it was already planned that way anyways.
Good news imo

This was a surprise apparently.
The NG approval was known for a while, so everything was ready to start the moment the announcement was made (one of my employee's husband has a lot of inside contacts in the pipeline industry).
Am I the only one who spotted an unopened condom attached to the agreement? It's to be used on us, not by us.

Doesn't necessarily mean we will get a fair deal on anything that is sold through the pipe.

Yes, because typically industry is warned at least weeks in advance so that boots to ground can happen right away.Originally posted by lasimmon

But, but, the BIG announcement last April 20th! That said they were going to look into it in 2017! I mean it is government, so they had to spend millions on a report to tell them it was ok first, right?Originally posted by Sugarphreak
Trudeau talked about legalizing weed in his election... and.... yeah, nada
I suspect this April 20th, they'll be announcing a bill that will get derailed for another year, and then finally in 2019 it'll pass, just in time for elections.
