Nice.
My biggest challenge would be getting the wife's AFE for the $2000+ purchase.
"Does the 60" in the bonus room still work?" Yes.
"Does the 42" in the living room still work?" Yes.
But... if I got the 75" for the bonus room, the 60" could move to the living room, and then maybe our kids wouldn't sit 6 inches from it.
Was just in costco today and of course I forget the brand but a 70" smart TV for 800. Cheap stuff.
Probably Hisense. It's been good for us in the basementThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
$800 is the regular retail price for the new Hisense 75R63G-75.
I can wait for the 85 inchers to get into the $800 range.

77" LG C3 for $3050. Too bad it's Amazon.

EDIT: Costco is matching.

Not ATL but close enough if you want 77" OLED from 2023.

Is that really worth that much more $ over the Sony X90L 75"?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Depends I suppose. I ran Sony TVs religiously for a long, long time. Got into the LG OLEDs with 55", then 65". We have a few 65" LG Oleds, and one of the above C3 models, not in 77 but in the 65" config. At $2400 including the bonus Costco extended warranty when I got it on sale, I'd say if a similar-ish deal could be found for the 77", it'd be worth it over the Sony x90 (which isn't an OLED, at least IIRC it isn't, so it's sort of an apples to oranges comparison). This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Hmmm.... Costco is not even listing the X90L in 75" currently. But I think you're correct.
I'm so far behind, I don't even have a regular "LED" TV in the house. The newest screen, the Samsung 60" I mentioned earlier, is an 8+ year old "LCD" screen. No 4K, no UHD, no 3D, etc.
Depends. OLED still best in a light controlled room. Where a X90 is cheaper AND better in a bright room, like those bonus room with huge windows. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I think 77" C3 hit close this price once last year, I was going to get Sony A80L last year for the $3K but was too slow on it and went OOS. I still prefer Sony processing.

Thanks for that info. A bonus room with huge windows is exactly where I wanted the new 75+" TV to go.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
G3 is pretty bright though even in day time nowadays. C3 isn't as bright of panel though.
Samsung is giving away a free UN65TU690T with some US purchases of their 2024 lineup.
This is a sign that Samsung has overproduced, especially that one particular model. There might be firesales on the UN65TU690T soon, or you might be able to scoop one up aftermarket for balls cheap if you know where to look.

Picked up the 100” Hisense u88n today. Slightly higher brightness levels as the x95 Sony it’s replacing, and projector size screen. Literally can’t fit any bigger in the basement. Best of both worlds.

I guess this only works if you have a walkout basement? I can't see something like that going thru any stairs. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I could get that in easily through the inside of my house. My stairs don't have a landing midway, I assume that's why you're thinking it would be tough? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I am toying with the idea of replacing the 85" X95 in the bonus room with a bigger TV.
I am going back and forth between this and Sony X90L
