Going 3" you will gain only noise, not horsepower. This isn't going to be boosted right? Keep it 2.5
Thanks shakalaka
And I keep telling myself 2.5" is the way to go. I had a 3" G35 with high flow cats and it was horrendously loud, though I did intend boost to quiet things down but never got there. The only reason why I am even considering a 3" is in the event that I boost it in the future, I'd be saving myself cash long term. But I could always sell the 2.5", and probably very quickly to someone else eager to do a Kswap.
2.5 it is!
8th gen Si seats are great. Nicely done.

Great build & thread!
Thanks everyone. The Si seats are awesome! Perfect amount of bucket for a daily, and you don't slide out of them like the leather Type S seats. They are also super comfy for long trips. I'm headed to Honda next week to reset the airbag system, fingers crossed it all goes well. Still waiting on the harness from Hasport, really hoping I can get things started soon.
I've been holding back on mods since I know I'm about to set my bank account on fire with the Kswap, but here's a small thing I did to tide me over while I wait. Factory colour matched! And while we're on topic, before my steering wheel suffers the same fate as others I have seen, does anyone know what I can do to stop the leather from peeling? I treat it twice a year, but when i took the wheel off I found a small patch that has worn off the backside...

Sigh.
I just got out of the dealer hoping they could clear the airbag light with an OPDS calibration. They were unable, as there is no signal coming from the weight sensors.
I have swapped out the Civic OPDS unit for the Fit's, and am running the Fit seat belts. Unless there is a way to trick the system into thinking someone is in the passenger seat, then there will be no airbag deployment on that side. If I manage to trick the system somehow, I will post here (any help is appreciated).
I might have to find a 12-13 seat to tear apart.
put a resistor instead in place of plugging in the connector? Im really not sure, but I could see it working.
Thanks. I was thinking about that too, it's possible the Civic airbags is what is throwing it off. Resistors are cheap, I'll make my way over to B&E sometime. I also ordered Windows XP for dirt cheap to boot onto my Mac just in case.
Edit: Tried the resistors on both seats. Didn't work unfortunately.

Yikes, how do we keep these build threads from being deleted? Thankfully I found the old thread on Google.
The car is officially at Garagebox now. Just received the Exeddy Stage 1 clutch and flywheel.
Also, I picked up a 07 Fit in the meantime, till the 13 Fit is finished. It is misfiring, and hesitates above 80. Any ideas? 230k on it. I've replaced the plugs, the upstream 02 sensor, and have adjusted the valves (twice, to be sure I didn't do anything wrong). I cleaned the connections and the throttle body too. I've checked a few of the easy access grounds as well, and it is still misfiring. New coils on the way (cheap ones).

Shitty gas?
^ I always use Shell, but I appreciate the help.
So this morning the new coils arrived so I installed them, no difference. I called up Paul at Garagebox and we got it figured out. It was just the 'FI Main' relay! Drives like a dream now. Minus the whole bumper rubbing on the back.
They don't get deleted, you just need to change the "display options" shown here to "begining"This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Oh! Thanks! Much appreciated.
This is still one of my top three build threads on beyond.ca Although, I do have a soft spot for the savage Honda Fit.

Things are happening! OE replacement RSX radiator on order. We are hoping the Fit fans will bolt right onto it, and the AC hoses bolt up. I also got a Hybrid Racing CRZ short shifter. Apparently it fits the chassis just fine and will work with the 12-15 Si shifter cables with some minor widening of the holes (and it's also a six speed). Also, the exhaust is going to be tricky, as the axle is on the way.

Hope you're all healthy and not too bored during these times!
Build update:
Test fitting now. The Hasport mounts have two mounting positions and we are currently using the higher position. The lower position may be too tight for the RBC intake manifold/RSX rad clearance. Unfortunately the higher mounting points will make valve adjustments a real pain. RSX radiator fits great, with some modifications to the chassis. Unfortunately the oem Fit fans are too large so something thin needs to be sourced. RSX vs Fit rad comparison for anyone else doing this swap (RSX rad: 29x18x2", Fit rad: 28x17x1.75"):
This needed to be cut to fit, and the rad support below had to be modified.
Slicing up the KTuned down pipe to fit. It runs right by the gas lines so we are going to need some kind of shielding here.
We are using the 3" down pipe with a 3" spiral core cat, and then going 2.5" from there. Got a bunch of Vibrant parts to do the job. Hopefully it will be quiet.
Just about finished the exhaust. A few more welds and hangers and we are good to go.
