    Default Interceptin' some fools

    Lets get into it!

It's a 2010 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. It started and ended its service as a Lloydminster RCMP marked patrol car. It still has the decaling on all 4 doors in the jams which i thought was cool.

It had some blemishes as expected for an in service police vehicle. Aside from some minor surface rust on some fenders, some holes in the roof and your regular dings and dents, It's In quite good shape. 162k currently on it. Has had some decent maintenance and these 4.6's are known to be work horses.

Obviously @Sentry car is quite a leading example of what id like this thing to be power wise...

First were getting into the nitty gritty of body work. This thing is getting a full refresh and some items added to it to ensure she stays looking tip top for many years to come. Whats not to love about an American car (canadian built) big steel bodied, body on frame V8 car!?

Its an unconventional build, for sure... However the panther body following is quite huge. I was lucky to get to drive one of these while still in service with an organization I worked for and fell in love with them.

This winter, im hoping to find a Coyote motor and get the swap going. Theres been a few swaps done on these things already and figured it would be the perfect motor for the swap.

Until then, heres some pictures of everything. Currently getting block sanded right now and hopefully going for paint next week.

Following! This is cool already. Any other traces of its former life as RCMP car?

Shes gonna be shiny as fuck! Gonna keep it white? Now's your chance to make it any colour. Mine had ghosts of old rcmp decals and simunition casings in the wiper cowl.

Unfortunately no pictures of it in service, but a detachment commander I know drove the car many years back when he was posted in Lloyd! He was pretty excited to see the car again

Shes going a custom bright white. We debated doing a dark shadow grey or something along those lines but we wanted to keep it classic!

You still have the Setina push bars? Nice. I think those are usually removed before sale, so that's a potentially rare civilian item.

    Love these builds.

Its actually the Public Safety Push bar from Gorhino. Alberta RCMP cars for whatever reason never got push bars. Some weird decision from somebody in Fleet with K division that just stuck. So i got it after the fact to complete the look!

Awesome! Love to see interesting builds like this. I bought a 2004 Grand Marquis last year with 56,000 km (estate car) and was so tempted to turn it into a sleeper. Was just too nice and original to mess with.

Still a few Crowns here in BC in service with the RCMP.

Awesome, can't wait to see this progress.

Question - will a 5.0 Coyote motor connect to the transmission in these cars, or do you have to replace that as well? IMO a Coyote with the 10 speed auto that comes with the 2018 and newer Mustangs, in this body/car, would be the ultimate highway driving machine, so far as a North American car with a v8.

Im not too sure about that. I was planning on getting a 6r80 6 speed anyways. I think a 10spd would probably be a little too much money to spend

Coyote/6R80E swap is quite doable but needs custom exhaust work unless somebody offers a kit these days.

It'll likely have to be a custom exhaust like that link. Already dug pretty deep into whats required! Already have a control pack through a buddy, just need to find a decent motor and transmission and then the rest we can get figured out.
