I was going to say... I drove through Airdrie at 8:30am this morning (I come from quite a bit further out) and was at my work at 8:50am just off Mcknight and Deerfoot including a bit of slowdown at 64th and Deerfoot. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I always have to laugh when peeps who despise any form of commuting will jump on the one day in a blue moon there is a traffic snarl going "See!! See!! Why would anyone commute? I am home in 5 minutes and you have to deal with that!" Shit... I mean what were we thinking? I had to listen to two extra songs on the radio today on my commute! Oh the humanity!!!
Of all the people I'll make fun of, Bob, you are the last. You are doing it right man, that living situation is awesome, and worth the drive. Honestly, it's the people in Evanston/Legacy and the far ends of town that make the least sense to me. Long drive time, and similar houses/yards to the rest of the city.
But I grew up in airdrie, and Cos lives there, so I feel like I get to make fun of those guys.

I'm the first to admit that 50% of the reason we live here is because both my wife and I work here. If we both worked downtown I highly doubt we would have moved here. We really liked a couple houses in Acadia back then. Now that we live here and spend a lot of time here it is great. We literally only go and see parents or go out for dinner. The rest of our life is here. Would be harder to move but if I did get a new job, might have to consider it anyways.
