Cool thinking of doing a max boost

I thinking about parting out and returning the GSR to mostly stock and then selling the car and parts. Taking that money and buying a e36 m3.

What do you think would be better?

    1) fixing the engine (mostly stock) and selling it turboed

    2) fixing the engine taking the turbo off the selling it with bolt-ons.

    3) Taking all the after-market stuff that i can get off and selling it mostly stock GSR and then selling off all the parts. (of course fix the engine)

hmm you might have a easier time selling the car completely stock. And I am pretty sure ppl on the board would snap up the parts in a matter of no time.

I'll buy the turbo off you, if there's some sort of lay-away plan!

Return the car to stock form, give it a nice tune-up and part out your aftermarket parts. You'll get more money back in the end.

    Good luck!

I think you should remove all aftermarket parts on your car and sell it bone stock!

That is the only way to go!

You want a E36 M3? Perhaps supercharging or turboing it right? Yes, I have already considered that too!

Turbo is way too complicated for a guy like me, I would still prefer a supercharger!

strip it down to the engine so its bone stock. sell your aftermarket parts separate. mods don't really add any value to a car.

superchargering is still not that easy.

my has been pretty much custom compared to my old set up.

Nope no fancy engine mods just lots of suspension mods and tires. Then take it to the road course and beat it like a dog.

And when that is not fast enough swap a euro engine into it.

Well "redline" put it this way, if you part out the GSR I've already got FIRST dibs on your Turbo & Intercooler...hahaha

You must dyno your new setup because I am very curious about the type of power it would be producing!

I say keep the beast! After all the smack you have talked about JRSC's, I want to see what your turbo GSR can do

If you insist on selling it here's what I think:
    1) You'll get rid of everything all at once. Less of a hassle, but you'll get the least money.

    2) You might as well do #1 or #3

    3) You'll get more money this way but you'll probably have to deal with more headaches. I'm sure the part's will get snatched up in a hurry, it's just a matter of how much patience for people you have I guess

I have to agree with pretty much everyone. Your best bet for selling the car quickly and getting the most money is to take it back to stock and selling the aftermarket stuff seperately. Its very hard to sell a modified car at all and get a reasonable amount of money for it unless you get lucky and find someone who happens to be looking for exactly what you have built and is willing to pay for not having to go through the trouble of building it themselves

best bet is to part your car out and sell parts and the car individually. the parts will be picked up pretty quick by the enthusiasts either on this board or on abcars or something. then afterwards sell your car stock because a stock car appeals to the general public more than a car that's done up.
