    Default Petition against Bill C-69

This is originally from Jeff Tonken, President & CEO of Birchcliff Energy.

Came from a buddy of mine which he received from a buddy of his…. So pass it on after you enter your details..

    Team
If you really care then simply follow the 3 steps below.
It is my view that if Bill 69 is passed by Justin Trudeau’s Government, it is highly likely that no new pipelines will ever be approved much less built in Canada. It is incredible that we are in this situation but we are.
The Bill creates the Canadian Energy Regulator, which replaces the National Energy Board, and creates the new Impact Assessment Act. The Impact Assessment Act broadens the matters to be considered when building a pipeline and would include such items as health and socio economic factors, the review of environmental concerns as a result of downstream emissions , diversity and the ability for indigenous groups to STOP a process versus being consulted.
The application process would take so long no Company will risk their money or time to tackle the new application process. Oh yes , the federal government has set aside $74.6m to set up the new agency and regulatory processes.
At a recent CAPP meeting Rich Kruger, CEO of Imperial Oil, indicated that under the proposed legislation , if passed, Imperial would not invest any more money in Canada. His statement was made not as a threat but in response to a question respecting the proposed legislation and the effect of new investment in Canada..
Please follow the 3 steps below which will allow you to send a letter to the senators who are currently considering this matter. It takes 5 seconds.
    Go to this hyperlink: https://www.energycitizens.ca/c_69_letter_to_senators
Enter their details into the form (name/email/postal code)
Leave the box checked to receive email updates
    Hit the send now button.

    Thanks for your time.
Do not hesitate to share this e-mail with any one of your colleagues, friends or family. If you like your current standard of living send the letters NOW.

A Ferrari is a high maintenance chick, you spend money regardless of what you do with her. You can baby the C63, or slap on all seasons, and you won't be spending anything but yearly maintenance. Of course that's like dating a stripper and refusing to fuck her, which would make you gay.

I heard on 980 the other morning that Canadian West Select opened at $12 on Thursday or Friday whenever it was. Investment in Canada is done 55% this year and 75% over the last 4. Trudeau has GOT to go, another 4 years of him and his ridiculous leftist nut advisers will = Canada falling into an even worse economic depression. Signed, shared.

I dunno. Either is a valid economic stance.

If the water is nearly free, why be a river to your people? The spice must flow. Prices don't go up when you provide more of something. Scarcity of production is a corner of hell.

I don't think Trudeau has as much say as anyone might otherwise think. If the US wants to put up 30 foot high walls with military grade extra flesh stripping barb wire at the top of their borders, that is what they wish to do. That the USA doesn't want Canadian oil, is almost minor by comparison.

You would think they are preparing for an Attack on Titan.

The US DOES want Canadian oil. And they want it at a massive discount, hence the smear campaigns against Canadian Oil Sands. The entire world wants our oil, but we have landlocked our resource and ensured we only have one customer, the USA. It's no secret that you need tidewater access to open up markets, and what C-69 does is stifle that possibility more so than it already has been. Especially for future governments that might have half a sack to just push some pipelines through and stop pretending indigenous people have any bearing on our economy.

Trump might say he wants oil, but the law says otherwise. And you have to go by the law. You can ignore the people pretty much as well.

Yes exactly. The law is what C-69 is trying to change. There is ways around the current laws and courts, but C-69 tries to double down on stupid.

If the West wants to survive, and not just economically, if Trudeau wins the next election, separation IMO will be the only option that remains.

It's been this way since Alberta became part of confederation, nobody wants to admit it. Give me a single example where being part of Canada has been a net benefit to Alberta?

    Exactly.

What does meaningful inclusion mean? I though the biggest problem with the process is that no one knows what is definitely required. Also, the government won't make the law clear in order to move forward.
