I get a kick out of trolls because I'm not easily offended and don't see the value in responding to them. The best part is when the sensitive people get their pitchforks to feed the troll.

There's no point though. You ban a troll, he comes back with a different name. You ban that one, they return again. You IP ban, they use very easy and free software to get around it. Ignoring trolls is the only thing that works.

Its called a SHADOW BAN - but the mods here at least added ignore to quoted troll posts .

This is the part I don't get, some people will have long winded conversations with the guy. Which is fine, but like why?

I personally don't see any harm in the guy, especially in him offering his (very) different opinions on things. But he doesn't really put out much coherent thought, which diminishes my desire to interact with him, hence him being on ignore.

Probably the most irritating thing is when people engage, and then they have a 50 page conversation with the one guy going in circular arguments and destroying a thread. Again, its just irritating, it doesn't really change anything for me or make me want to present a call for action. If some people get off on arguing against a wall (with bad spelling/grammar), okey dokey.

Easy now. lol. I gave him one chance today with a reply that was spoon feeding exactly what he needed to answer if he wanted to be considered at all. It appears he has bailed now that his reply cannot simply be a personal attack. That's all I give, then it's on ignore for me too.

This wasn't directed at you. I specifically seem to remember Sugarphreak at one point had like a 3 page discussion that was completely pointless, and I was just like "why? What is the actual point?"

Maybe just be the better human and just not respond, I've never put anyone on ignore on any forum I've been a member of. What i have found is that any true trolls will just cease posting if they do not get the reaction they're looking for. Just be the better person instead of looking for shortcuts like ignore functions.
