Default What to use for cold air intake piping

I can't think of anythign to use other then get soem mandrel bend adn tehn get it powder/ceramic coated for looks so it doesn't rust. I need it in 2 3/4 inch and it needs to go through the body where a dryer vent would get chopped up.

Any ideas? approx Cost, I don't want something that going to have a lot of heatsoak.

Mopac sells, various light aluminum mandrel bends, for about $24 per bend...

OR hit up the junk yard and start collecting, and building...That's how i built mine, I also went to a muffler shop and asked for a "S" bend (two 90 degree bends) then i just cut what i needed.. Oh and buy some JB weld..

You can find anything CAI related in the Junkyard, you just have to look, and yes there aren't too many FI SUV's, in the self serve yards, but usually there are a couple, most are usually stripped, rather quickly..

Ok cool , like what yards would you recommend besides Pick Your Part?? I am basically just looking for a couple tubes and one shallow bend, I figured maybe there would be a couple options but for the bend I am guessing I would have to have one made somehow.
Has pbc or whatever (large plastic plumbing pipe) ever been used by anyone on here? I swear the stuff would work good, in spite of looking very home-made.

plumbing pipe is thick and heavy, but works. another yard i go to is "Buck's junk yard" ( yellow pages) the chrysler's have the flexable pipes. Toyota is good for multiple bends... good luck!

Sweeeeet, thanks for the help dude, I think I should finally be able to get this project running, It will be a hack job but oh well. I think I might even go with the plumbing pipe if worst comes to worst, but I will definately check out some of those auto parts places.

Go to grand prix racing the have all different size U bends. I bought a few to make my intercooler piping. You might just need one u Bend to do the hole thing and i think they run somewhere around 27$ a Ubend? Cut to size clamp and your set!
    Good luck!
