I appreciate a good joke even if it's dark. But this is just plain stupidity.
I guess rage2 knows who it was? Whoop-ass time? lol.

Is a 'prank' like this serious enough to sue? Might teach him a lesson. Or maybe the threat of one might make him resist next time.

Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
If it caused monetary or serious emotional harm - yes. Would be hard to prove though and getting reddit and the ISP to release the technical information could take months. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Hmm, fair point - I guess you'd have to prove 100% who was behind the post. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Absolutely it is.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Imagine if this took off. Investors and such in the company Rage works in might panic, withdrawing funds. If these types of shenanigans continue, the board or other stakeholders might think this is too much drama and look to make changes...
This is definitely grounds to be worried for Rage, and I would be too. I would absolutely be looking to find out who the poster is, and if it is who Rage believes may be behind it, would provide HUGE leverage for Rage in his personal life. It might take some time, but I would absolutely be going down that road.
Boosted life tip #329
Girlfriends cost money
Turbos cost money
Both make whining noises
Make the smart choice.

All good points.
Too bad it wasn't like rape allegations, rage could just fire off a tweet and the ex husband would already be deemed guilty.
All the doofus would have to say to the CPS is that "it was meant as a joke".
Unless there is documented history of this guy behaving in a malicious manner, it would be difficult to convince a judge to issue a subpoena of Reddit and the ISP for the required information.
Also, if the total demonstrable 'loss' is less than 10k , its going to be a lawyer-shark-fest eating up any potential gains from the defendant, assuming they even HAVE any gains as a potential.
If Shelton was a prominent CEO of a major public company, then this would be taken more seriously.

I Don't think it was a joke guys... lol
People get weird about kids, that's too bad. hopefully buddy can get a grip and grow up.
Rip
Holy shit rage2 is posting from the afterlife!
I've dealt with an idiot parent situation for many years. Buddy blatantly ignores the court order and is never held accountable. That's pretty low that he was trying to ruin the surprise Rage. All for the good of the child, amirite?
Good on Spikers to clear things up on Reddit quickly.
That's something a 12 year old would do in poor taste. Fuck, so pathetic that a grown man would do that shit. Sorry to hear there's children involved in the middle of it.
Sounds like small penis syndrome.
Pretty sure he has much worse than court orders in his foresee-able future. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Actually, all he would have to do is self-represent. Judges come down hard on lawyers when the other party doesn't have representation. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
edit :: Rage could use this as grounds to have the "rules" removed from the current order. The guy might have done him a favor.
