I’m not a coffee drinker but I’m always amazed how people who drink coffee seem to be universally unaware of their horrendous goat mouth after their morning cup. For fucks sake have a coffee at home before you brush your teeth if you need it that bad. My god, it’s almost a certainty that whenever I speak to a coffee drinker they have absolutely disgusting breath. Some at least try to mask it with mints or a piece of gum but it’s still underlying and very much noticeable.

I think some of that has to do with extreme dehydration too. Most coffee drinkers just drink coffee until lunch.

Really though, I don't think people get bad breath from coffee. I've never heard of, nor experienced that before.

There is definitely coffee breath if you are trapped in a small meeting environment.

Well yes and no. Once you open those shitty tims lids, it's just a gaping hole for the coffee to spill out of with sharp edges that cut your lip. The cup can be half full and the lid is still unsatisfactory.

It's kind of a moot point though, tims has dome lids now if you ask for them (which I do whenever I'm forced to go there).

Old style lid, open it up then push back down into the cup. No more spillage.

I thought this was well known about their lids haha.

Different leak. Timmy’s lids leak whether you have them open or not. Usually down the seam of the cup because their lids seem to get thinner and thinner every couple years and no longer seal against the cup

Not completely relevant to this thread but I've seen Tim Hortons in Dubai, Saudi Arabia (Jeddah Airport), Madrid, etc.

It's not the Canadian chain I would have chosen to go global to represent Canada internationally....

Yeah first thing you have to do is take the lid off and line up the spout with the seam. Should be part of an employees training to do this when they first put the lid on before giving you your coffee.
