Have been taking advantage of the $1 coffees from McD. Hilarious seeing people come back for a refill for a Large...what is that like 2L total of coffee?!
I'm loyal, Tim's for life!
Yup, I'm done with it too
I've always liked the more expensive coffee like Starbucks

F8ck tim hortons, garbage food and garbage service/
Yeah I really don't know how people thing their food is good. Its all bagged and re-heated crap. If you get it served to you and they don't stir it... you get very minimal; soup and chilli are bad for this. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Agreed, Service is typically quite poor as well (unless you go to Gulf Canada Square, where its not exactly friendly but at least its a trade off for efficiency!).
I will say though, I tried out the Belgian Waffle Breakfast sandwich and it was really good.

If you agree the food is no good then why would you go back for more? Does not compute. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Will fuck off, again.
Every sled trip we go a couple of the guys insist we eat at timmy’s for breakfast. I don’t get it the food has become so fake and greasy and I feel sick almost every time after I eat it. Unfortunately there is a Tim horton’s in every small town.
Dropping Tims would be much easier if the wife didn't keep sending me out for nasty steeped tea. I like tea, but even the smell of that stuff is awful. So... Sitting in a ridiculously long drive thru line...
I am probably a lifelong timmies and McDonalds connoisseur.
The convienience of getting a coffee, the relatively low price (compared to starbucks, analoge, second cup), and the fact that their coffees are low acid and always fresh are what I like.
The regular coffees at the specialty shops are either too bitter or too acidic for my tastes, and turns me right off. I drink my coffee regular (1+1) and the only way i can drink a coffee from starbucks or second cup is to load it up with sugar.

Turbos cost money

I’ve stopped going to tims, a&w breakfast sandwiches are so much better. Real egg and their English muffins are actually toasted.
I drink my coffee black and A&W is WAY better than Timmy’s. At least you have control over milk/sugar at A&W too if you like your coffee that way. GF used to get sugar in her tims and their standard amount is insane, makes me nauseous, it’s like drinking candy water
I love the “Starbucks is too expensive compared to Tim’s argument” it’s like 45 cents difference on a large
If you don’t like it that’s cool, but the price difference is a blip on a blip

You sure? Swear it was more than that. A large Timmy’s is 20oz which = a venti at Starbucks

Couldn’t find prices on tims website so I used a third party to check. I think it actually used to be less of a difference than that, I remember years ago when I worked there is was like 25 cents.
If you are just buying coffee it’s a very small difference, most people I hear making the argument is comparing the price of a latte to Tim’s drip.

Guess you’re right for some reason thought a venti was more. Extra is right though, percentage wise that’s over a 20% difference. I put starbucks coffee roughly on the same level as Tim’s though so I wouldn’t want to pay 20% more for equally garbage coffeeThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Starbucks drip is definitely way stronger but just as bad IMO. I think they purposely make it crappy at the stores to push you to buy the more expensive drinks haha. I much prefer their Americano to their drip

I believe Tim Hortons is raising coffee prices again anyway. Fourth year in a row apparently...
Sometimes you have to do things that are less than desirable due to convenience (in this case, I was bringing Timbits to the office, which everyone seems to appreciate)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I'll have to try A&W coffee. I do still love me some timbits.

I think that argument comes from the concept that the only thing worth getting at Starbucks is a latte, which is like 5-7$. Not comparing apples to apples, but technically it is a hell of a lot more expensive to go to Starbucks. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If you're just buying black coffee it's almost the same price everywhere, which why it's so easy to find coffee 100x better than Timmies. If you want a specialty mixed/blended drink, that is where the prices get ridiculous at places like Starbucks, Deville, etc.
Dropped in to 7-11 this morning, less hassle then tims, and coffee is no worse. It's not amazing or anything, and I still prefer mine from home.
