God, I'm glad that's behind me.
That being said, I'm looking at doing an eMBA soon and a buddy of mine in the program said it's not a lot better.
I was laid off and haven't found SIMILAR work yet
I was laid off and found a new job in the same industry
I was laid off and found a new job/career in a different industry
I'm still plugging along with the same company I've always been with
I quit my job and went elsewhere
We're all fucked

Well there is 0 chance of failing in EMBA, so there is that.

Program burnout is real, most people I know are completely done coming into third year.

@cjblair is a little tougher than most oil and gas engineers. That guy is going to do fine.

Yep. Pretty much par for the course, nothing really out of the ordinary there. Do all your courses have labs too? Because that's when it gets really fun. Your story doesn't sound any different from anyone else getting an engineering degree. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Just learn to accept it because that's what the 4+ years is going to look like

BCIT does have a reputation for being more intense than most "regular" engineering schools that cater to people stright out of high school. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Jokes on us, we're all unemployed now.

A Ferrari is a high maintenance chick, you spend money regardless of what you do with her. You can baby the C63, or slap on all seasons, and you won't be spending anything but yearly maintenance. Of course that's like dating a stripper and refusing to fuck her, which would make you gay.

That basically sounds like most G&G degrees start to finish honestly. Every class has a 3-hour lab (typically more time is required), 1 hour tutorial, lab midterm and final on top of lecture midterm and final. Plus your first year is all boring intro science classes which follow the exact same format. Of course we have field schools, which are basically hiking and getting wasted for a week
I know of one Engineer on here who did his Undergrad and managed to work full-time, doing well in both. Craziness I say.
The funny stories I've heard of some students coming out of Engineering at UofC are amazing. Their own offices, play rooms which xboxs and TVs, basically cheating/copying off of each other constantly, bell curves such that 50% is a B...Of course some poor slub has to do the work "for the group" haha
@bourge73 I likely have zero qualifications for doing anything rail related unless I need to bore the crew to death about how the mountains were formed.

Work finished early retirements. Sounds like enough people took it that next steps won't need to happen. However that is this week. Someone sort of senior with a good job left and they posted his position and apparently I am a front-runner for it. So here's to hoping... maybe?
