You must work with 85-95yr olds.
No one's retiring in my industry. Got a bunch of 70+ yr old dinosaurs. They look at the geology and reminisce when it was a lake bed with sand.
Hey I know those guys! Great crew change my fucking ass.

Calgary O&G is contracting far far quicker than any attrition or retirement rates.

The greyhairs haven’t retired yet because they were relying on that one last payday that never came

I know of someone who will hand write their responses to email and have the secretary reply to the sender. He makes well over 200k/yr (I wish I was joking).

I don’t see how that is all that different than someone printing out work product and hand writing their notes and comments back to you? That’s pretty standard.

msommers seems to imply it's just a normal e-mail rather than a work product being marked up.

I have worked with more than a few nullspaces in my career. Fortunately, they all got promoted out of my department.

They are paying for the Max’s either way. Might as well fly the planes that have lower op costs relative to the dinosaurs.

lol not 5 minutes after posting that Westjet calls and says my Monday 4 hour flight from Edmonton to Toronto is now a 11+ hour Edmonton -> Calgary -> Toronto flight landing at 5am.

"is this acceptable?" uh no, go fuck yourselves.

Flying anywhere right now you are going to get fucked on schedules. Lots of "ghost" flights on the schedule that the airlines have no intention of flying, but they'll sell you the seat.
