Heard about some major cuts happening over at the Calgary Power company over the last few months, and next few months to go. I've really put my head in the sand in 2020 and it has been great for my mental health, but I have missed some major things. When people talk about when Direct Energy sold... I was just nodded and said 'mmmmhmmm'.

We've been on an external hiring feeze by exception for the last 4-5 years. So been good for advancement as people retire but at some point it is going to bite us hard. We're down 20% if I had to guess in attrition in the last 5 years. With an asset base that is largely unchanging, been fun.

No one's retiring in my industry. Got a bunch of 70+ yr old dinosaurs. They look at the geology and reminisce when it was a lake bed with sand.
