There's OG and then there's those who are embraced as OG, flip would be one of the latter.
    Will fuck off, again.

That being said, are there really many new members who aren’t just alter egos of people who have been previously banned?

They'd certainly have their pick of the litter of Geos.

So kinda on topic...come end of March and beginning of September (unofficially), I'll be down and out for work, and thinking of going the EI route for a few months to tie me over.

Is this something I should start before my contract ends or after? Anyone who's been through the process and knows what documents/information I should get ready beforehand would be appreciated.

There's an EI mega thread. Not much to get ready, you'll want to know if the company does your ROE electronically (most common) or paper.

I can walk you through it.

Are you a contractor? If so, you typically can't claim EI.

I would start the application process as soon as you can. It takes 4-6 weeks for the payments to start rolling in. As far as I can remember, you are able to submit an initial application while awaiting your ROE which can be provided once available.

In keeping to the topic, I haven't laid off any people here (roofing supply outfit), but I also haven't replaced any of the staff who departed over the last couple months given we're into the slow season now. That said, we were forecasting an increase in business for 2019 up to about October of this year, now it looks like it will be a pretty flat year in terms of growth given the developments in Alberta over the last several weeks.
