    I think it is very difficult for a lot of people to remove stuff from a resume, it's almost as if they are erasing or invalidating parts of their working lives. What people tend to forget is that detailing their past positions/training may have absolutely no benefit to be on their resume and leaving it there just adds to their resume's white noise.

    I'm sure it is; but, if I was an engineer on the Tacoma Narrows bridge or the head of maintenance at Chernobyl, I'd be lookin to leave that shit out instantly and at any cost. 30+ years later, you can also be certain it won't be on my resume.

    Overseas resume standards are different too. A 5 page resume in many parts of Europe or Asia is expected.

    Here, it's madness.

    Phone list for my company has shrunk. Was 26 people in July, it's 14 now.
