Is "I want to plant my dick deep in the guts of this job" the kind of thing you put in a cover letter, or should I save that for an interview closing line?

Heard Oct 14 is another day at Husky. Working there over the last few years must been nerving racking. Or you're numb to it. Sucks either way.

I asked again and they said everyone thought it was going to be today but fortunately not. A bunch on the east coast did get laid off.

If I hear anything again I won't post it. Fear mongering and negative vibes helps no one, my bad.

But I am sure everyone is ears to the wall trying to catch any info (rumors) possible. Ive seen this a few times and really distracts people on focusing on their actual tasks.

We all felt it was today, nearly everyone was prepared - the rumors were rampant but alas nothing happened.

Pretty brutal. I watched the press conference and I felt like they were finger pointing and pushing the blame away from themselves.

I don't follow this much but ever since Cathay bought them out, their existence is questioned anyway?

Keep it coming. Sometimes misery likes company. Thread on reddit says it's coming soon and it's going to be massive.

Well, there's going to be massive layoffs in many companies. No specific reason to think Husky isn't part of that.

    Link?

You're not talking about that Imperial Oil post from that idiot realtor are you? The guy with negative rating and always posts garbage?

I don't think anyone minds posts with some merit, but those with rumors with no decent source should be quiet (not saying msommers is that case). Employees don't count as obviously most didn't know shit.

COVID 19 infection increases and recovery is further out of reach. And this new normal (if a new coronavirus shows up every 5 years on schedule and a vaccine need at least 2 years or never each time) is going to need a lot less oil.

    Jesus

IMO, whatever the layoff number would have been. Double it.

    Annual synergies of $1.2 billion
So that means what, 6000 layoffs?
