A thought came into my head on the drive home.
When they are bringing food to wherever she is being held. Are they giving her Chinese food or normal stuff?

What amazes me is the new cellphone power Kirin supposedly has a 1.4 Gbps cellular data capability, or 50+ Netflix 4K hdtv streams simultaneously?

Seriously, you could drain repositories of collected knowledge of entire countries in a matter of hours... And then put it in your pocket. The USA still lags behind, it would take the USA *days* to drain repositories of collected knowledge of countries with their current tech.

To me its plainly obvious that China has not stolen the core of USA technologies, because - China still hasn't put a man on the moon. It should be easy peasy.

Ahhh first time ZenOps incorrect. Many many years ago, a Chinese lady went to the moon. Her husband an archer once shot out 9 out of 10 suns from the sky.

Hope they werent paid in Nortel stock options .... LOL
They had a great program to entice everyone to leave their money in the company... my dad worked in M&A... had his entire retirement in stocks, was in a position where it would have been insider trading if he liquidated it, just had to watch it all disappear.

It’s actually amazing how big they were, seems like everyone knows someone that worked there. Really shitty ending, good thing for the O&G boom or that would have been a lot uglier of an economic event

I worked there before :P but I'm just a peon in LH Optical and later the Metro networks. Didn't know we worked with Huawei before. Maybe in the wireless side? The only thing I heard was that their "cisco" like equipment and their "Nortel" optical / metro cards have similar model names / numbers as ours. We were just too expensive and definitely spent too much.

I don't know all the ins and outs of what went down, but my uncle was working there in some sort of higher up engineering position. Hung himself from a bridge with a dog leash when everything went down.

So you say China sent a woman to the moon? I'd like to subscribe to that newsletter. Its also plausible that North America is owned by a Chinese troupe that immigrated through Russia and Alaska tens of thousands of years before Europe "found" it.

Whut. I don't think a world class archer would actually miss any shots, but that's just me.

On a side note: 5G truthers are saying that it will fry all life on earth.

So if I am understanding this thread correctly,

Huawei’s CFO was arrested because she made an unauthorized trip to the moon where they stole all their 5G technology from 2000’s Nortel’s alien overlords?

Just like with the Arabic tweet behind the KSA holding women protesters as part of political games (the back story behind that is hundreds of emails long) - the arrest of this individual is surely more than about one thing or transgression.

Im sure the back story here could probably fill a short book. The fact that Huawei ASKED for a publication ban also speaks volumes - normally political prisoners WANT attention.

Not surprisingly, the nations with the most secrets are the most resistant to setting up an improved communications infrastructure. If the USA does not jump onboard 5G soon though (like it barely moved on dial-up for the central states) I can imagine it will be of great detriment to the comparative quality of life of every US citizen not "hooked up". The modern USA is built on secrecy, patents, and "holding back".

The big one I think, is that the US doesn't want to have to explain and possibly compensate Central US landowners from the Nevada tests radiation exposure fallout when they get Cancer a decade before everyone else on the planet.

Data flows literally like water, without enough water many things are not possible.
