Yeah, website was bombarded this morning around 8am. I got Saturday tickets for 6:30pm but confirmation didn't go through so order was cancelled.

Ended up getting 4:30pm on Monday instead. Looks like I'm taking off work early haha.

Atom is toasted this morning. Trying to get into the special 5pm Thursday show but site crapped out with only a few bad seats left. When site came back, even those bad seats were taken.

Was able to get Saturday Morning DBOX seats at Seton after over an hour of page loading.

Never used DBOX before, how are their recliners? Any good? Would it have been better to just book regular seats comfort/recline wise?

I've used DBOX in the past; adds novelty but not alot to the overall movie experience. You can toggle how much vibration you want or turn it off completely. From what I typically see, DBOX seats are the better ones in the theater anyway.

If other seats are still available, would just rebook and save the money IMO.

I don't really enjoy dbox tbh. Its more just distracting than anything (for me) but its a neat experience. My gf gets motion sick so she turned it way down anyways. The seats are a bit more roomy though so even off they're a slight step up

VIP doesn't seem like it's worth it. Most theatres in the city have recliners now. All of Seton does and they have started adding to Landmark Shawnessy now.

I managed to get through with Atom after a few tries.

Note Landmark Imax is not real imax.
VIP is a million percent worth the extra few bucks. The elbow room alone is worth it.

No Endgame jokes about the website? Beyond, I am disappoint.

You're paying an extra $11 for the waiter service though and it's only worth it if you spend money for drinks, food and popcorn and that will add up quick at a movie theater.

You can get the same seating for $14 minus the table and seat warmers.

Excited for this movie but not so big of a nerd that I need to be there the first day with all the hordes. Plus I will be in Italy when it gets released so I can wait to watch it until I get back in May.

11$?? Maybe they changed it? For the 5$ extra I was more than happy to get the elbow room, and even if it jumped to an 11$ differential I'd still be on board and say it's worth it. Nowhere else you can get that space, so not sure what the 14$ comment is about? But hey I get it. "Worth it" is a very subjective statement based on what an individual values, or what their income is, etc. One thing for sure, if the extra money wasn't in my range, there is still no way I'd ever be bumping elbows with some mouth breather for 2 hours in a packed theater, I would just wait a month till it slows down and go see it then.

I just hit the matinee with my son, it’s never full, even for big movies. School is out at noon on Fridays and we always do the 1:00pm showing. My wife gets tickets through Brookfield for $7 and I always book through the Cineplex app, no hassle and always good seats.

I don’t think we will see another Stan Lee cameo after this.

After the Tarkin Cameo, I believe anything is possible.

I think I read somewhere last week that the next Spiderman film is Stan Lee's last cameo, but I can't find it now to verify that. IIRC he'd already filmed his scene for Away From Home before he passed.

Either way, what a great contribution to both comics and film. It's incredible to think that it wasn't all that long ago when the first Iron Man film came out, I remember it clearly, and hoping RDJ would have his shit together enough to make at least a sequel or two. Heh, 22 films later...
