    This is correct.

    There are certain models made to heat down to -30C with various defrost modes but I wouldn't want to test it.

    Our crossover point is -10C to full time furnace.

    Regarding A/C we haven't tested it in the middle of summer but the BTUs listed are higher than similarly sized A/C units. And smaller and significantly quieter.

    Water source heat pumps work good for single installs. Ground source and water source heat pumps can make the ground and water become over saturated with heat, then the whole site is fucked. Thermally, well water, ponds and grounds loops are not very renewable, more like a finite storage battery.
