Well it's based on population so that's hard to get around. I don't think having 13 seats in parliament is the answer either.
Saskatchewan has a larger population than Nova Scotia, why would NS deserve more seats?

Edit, Oh I guess you mean more in general, not specifically more than SK. They are both below the national average of people per riding, and neither deserve any more seats.

So are any of you old enough to have voted for the Reform Party of Canada?

Quebec's been doing this separatist thing for over 50 years now (I've been around for all of it) and they're no closer to separating from Canada now than they have been at any point in the past. That known, a different approach will be needed to get the rest of Canada's attention although I am by no means sure of what that approach might be.
    Will fuck off, again.

Quebec has much different motivations and incentives than Albertchewan.

Ultimately it is NOT in the interest of Quebec to separate, at least economically. You can make an argument that it is in the best interest of Albertchewan to separate, economically. Your comment about needing a different approach is valid - the problem is that there are no additional approaches within confederation that are likely to be effective. Canada is set up to a be a "tyranny of the majority".

Quebec separation is pretty much limited to francophones old enough to remember the Quiet Revolution. They're about as far from separation as they've ever been. Quebec gets what they want by voting for anyone and everyone. Put your vote up for sale and the money starts coming in.

Alberta would not realize the same benefit from "selling it's vote".

I have always said that people in Quebec are experts at voting.

X92.9 was cracking jokes the other morning about how our necks are red, some bit on separation iirc. Apparently people were offended and actually made a point of telling them. Which they later said was pretty funny considering how Albertans typically view themselves as " 'Berta Steeerronggg" but don't have thick enough skin to laugh at themselves.

No it's called "satire" it's a kind of funny where they use irony and make stupid people think it's real.
Pretty sure Brad's post was satire as well.

Right. So this is one of the many ways where I differ from you: I don't assume people who disagree with me are idiots unless they demonstrate as such. Brad's a smart guy - I've "known" him on these forums for like 10 years - and definitely not an idiot.

By that logic, I can safely assume his post is satirical.

"Never assume malicious intent until such intent is clearly demonstrated."

    Waaaaaaah!

You do realize that likely in the entire history of this forum, no one has been consistently more petulant or insulting to everyone else about being proven wrong on something or, not getting what they think is right from politics than you? Right? I mean the comic relief you bring is fun and all but I think everyone is looking forward to your inevitable winding down now the election is over for awhile.
