The only logical conclusion is that Alberta and Saskatchewan residents are a bunch of spineless bishes.
Good news, virtually every province has not received equalization in years, except for Quebec.

Not only that, but the frogs are so fucking stupid that their payments have risen about 40% in the past few years.

Does that make them stupid, or the rest of us stupid?

The answer is Canadians are stupid.

If I had more conviction I would leave, but alas I am a lazy person at heart and that seems like a lot of effort.

    Maybe tomorrow.

This. Canada is a net positive for me right now. But the moment it isn't I'll be fine with my capital.

If the entire goal of Alberta seperation is to do a Putin and raise natural gas prices by a factor of 20x, so that eastern Canada and the USA has to pay that much more.

Then if you want to be ultracapitalist and a sadist, I could be swayed to joining the seperation side. Let the USA pay 20x more.

Darth Vader hated seperatists, but the dark side is very compelling. We have the natural gas afterall, and realistically - all of the economic power that comes with it.

It would likely bring about unprecedented pain upon the average US citizen - but is that really the primary goal?

    Bottom line with separatists morons.

They'd rather live in Alabama, too lazy to move so trying to turn Alberta into hickville.

Listen up fuckheads. GTFO, and don't come back!

The only reason I'd leave Canada is the winter weather. Otherwise, it's the best place in the world to live.

The USA. I could get a 50% bump in comp if I left.

The only reason we haven’t left is because we want to be close to our parents.

    Didn’t see this.

Yes. Most parts of the US offer far better calculus for me than Canada does.

Yeah but you have to take pay in US dollars. Which is quickly heading to 50 US cents per kwh when converted to reality.

How are you going to compete with migrant fruit pickers? They are much better at your job than you.

Not to derail the thread. But how do you guys feel about the US healthcare system as you age?
The reason I ask is a lot of my clients moved to the US. But they started to move back to Canada in thier 40s. One of the key reasons was healthcare system and kids. As they aged health issues and risk went up.

Gas guns and milk, traditionally cheaper in the USA. Drugs typically cheaper in Canada.

If you have health issues and not a million+ or so, Canada might be the better choice. On a long scale, assuming the Canadian dollar collapses before the US dollar, who knows. There is still a small chance that the US will go into Civil war (I'm not counting it out) - making Canada housing even more expensive. All the really rich US citizens will probably go to New Zealand, like Gaben.
