    Not really.
Alaska and the biggest economy and military power in the world.
Vs BC and Eastern Canada. Is one seriously comparing the two to be identical?
    Kert thinks Canada is important

    More comparable than Bangladesh.

BC would never do it. They would also be the biggest obstacle in anything AB wanted. Just look at pipeline and "their piece of the pie"
But BC is so at odds between north and south. I wonder what it looks like for BC to split into two, and have northern BC side with Alberta.

That would definitely work better. Or maybe just officially turn Vancouver into New Hong Kong and the all the rest of BC can join us.

Vancouverites already look at the rest of BC and Alberta as Mainlanders anyway so it'd be pretty fitting.

Actual sophisticated people don't negotiate anything like this. It might play out as an emotional thing in the news because that's how the public wants to perceive such things. But at the end of the day, a bunch of adults can negotiate this stuff pretty cleanly and without emotion if they are permitted to do so.
BC residents are actually blind to what really goes on in their province. They get a ton of cash from coal exports to Asia and India but they're reluctant to be out front about it.
So no matter what social media simps want, the big boys are going to do what's best and having beneficial agreements on a separate country, BC would join.

Kelowna might turn into the Gaza Strip for a while but long term everyone would benefit.

Meanwhile lobbyists are already starting to hedge NDP just in case it'll return to power.

It isn’t that politicians in Ottawa are necessarily out to get the West, but that Canada’s constitutional structure over incentivizes policies geared towards the Central provinces.

I don't want to create a new thread and this is sort of fitting, well if ndp took leadership of the country it sure is.

Who wants to abolish billionaires? A look at the federal NDP's convention resolutions

Who the fuck is dumb enough to be keeping over $1B in Canada anyways? Isn't there only about 50 Canadians that claim to be billionaires to begin with? I doubt most of that wealth is within our tax borders.

    This.

Billionaires have a team of lawyers and accountants taking care of their money and assets... Their money is definitely not going to be touched and will be moved accordingly.

The Queen has a shit ton of money in Canada as real estate as part of her 6.6 Billion acre portfolio. Although arguably, its the nickel mine that matters most. Oil? as long as it lets you dig for more of what really matters.
