Default Christmas tree, real, fake or nothing

For those that happen to celebrate Christmas, do you put up a real Christmas tree, a fake one or nothing at all. I'll offer up other in the poll because I suppose someone might use a cactus or something as a substitute for a Christmas tree.
    Will fuck off, again.

Fake most Xmas's. Once in awhile we'll miss having a real one, and put one up. Then a week later we realize why we have a fake. Then when it comes time to drag the tree out of the house I tell myself "never again".

    5 years later, rinse, repeat.

Fake one we got with leftover gift cards after the wedding. My wife occasionally mentions she'd like a real tree, and I guess if she brings one home, then we'll try it, but hasn't happened yet.

Voted real, but it's only every other year or so. We are in the US every Christmas, so whether we get a tree or not is dependent on how early we leave. This year we don't have one.

Real tree. Payback on a nice fake one is too large ng. Better for the environment to have real as well

I'm a real tree guy. My wife wants a fake one but as long as I'm around it will be real. A few years ago we started going out to cut down our own and I love it. Even if the tree is a little sparse, its been a great way to spend an afternoon.

I hate how sparse the branches are on my fake tree, but I like the clean up a lot better.

Go all natural, just put lights on the pine tree outside the door. Its a mature pine, that technically should have the lower branches trimmed to the nine foot level (so no one pokes out an eye walking by)

Fake tree all the way. I have a pre-wired LED one from Costco that sets up fast and requires minimum “floofing” of the branches. Hooks up to your wifi or you can Bluetooth music from your phone and the lights will blink along with it. Santa loves to rave when he drops off presents.

    Fake tree.
I really like having a real tree but couldn't deal with the hassle for the past few years. Dog drinks the water, kids knock needles off all over. Maybe in 5 years.

Had I not married a decorating fanatic it would be no tree at all. So much work but it does look nice.

As an adult you learn how much of a pain in the ass having a real tree is. The cleanup, disposal, smell etc just makes it not worth it.

Spend $200 on a good fake tree and it will last for years.

Maybe if you have kids getting a real tree is worth it.

Real trees are extra bad if you have to put them anywhere near your hot air vents, or a fireplace.

Well apparently I am not an adult but at the same time we do not find the cleanup all that big of a deal. Disposal, just cut it down to manageable chunks and it goes into either the green bin or the fire pit. Smell, I kind of like the fresh tree smell in my but I can acknowledge that some might find it offensive.
    Will fuck off, again.
