Bump.
Wife wants to get some multi photos printed (canvas). Any other current options than what was discussed in here?
We were thinking Costco originally, anywhere else we should look?
TIA

I've had good luck with blacks, but i haven't done any canvas
Thought this would be the most appropriate place for anyone who is as (nauseatingly) particular about print accuracy as I am.
I ordered calibration prints from SmugMug using the four different printers they offer. My preference in order:
1) Bay Photo Lab (Cali, US)
- Sharpest and most accurate of the bunch. Their UI desktop ordering system is also pretty slick.
2) Loxley (UK)
- A really, really close second. Between Bay Photo and Loxley, there was a very faint greenish hue in direct comparison. This is a perfect printer if you have customers in Europe.
3) WHCC (Minn, US)
- Sharpness wasn't as good as the above two, colours were a bit more saturated which is fine sometimes, but comparing among the skin tones it didn't look normal. Fastest shipper.
4) EZ-Prints
- This was the one that was noticeably worse than the other. Odd colour casting and sharpness was pretty disappointing. I just googled where these guys are located and I can't even find them so maybe out of business.
I also did some screen brightness and sharpening tests as well. My results:
108 cdm was perfect. For the 8x10 sized testers, unsharpen mask 100% @ 1.0px turned out well. I might try extra sharpening if I do this again.

have you run some comparison versus some local labs like Resolve Photo?
curious to see how they fare.
Not yet. I do love Resolve, they are easily the best printing outfit in Calgary. Are you on their FB group? They have some serious printing deals lately, I think to clear out some paper.
It’s time for another deal! This time we’re offering Ilford Gold Fibre Silk prints in two sizes. Prints up to 30x40” are $50, and prints up to 40x60” are $75. We don’t have a lot of this paper, maybe enough for about 8-10 prints. Once we’re out, we’re out forever. Oh, do keep in mind that this paper is quite delicate and is somewhat prone to micro-scratches in the glossy surface. That’s just how it goes with this one.
