Default Watchmaker Breaks Down Swiss vs Japanese Made Watches

It's a bit of a long video, but I love this sorta stuff. Every little component is so purposefully designed for something.

That's a pretty cool video, interesting to see the minute differences between the 2 movements and why Swiss is perceived to be better.

I have always been fascinated with anything mechanical so have told myself that I would like to disassemble a mechanical watch and even a film camera apart.

This is why I love mechanical/automatic watches. The amount of engineering and machinery that goes into these little things is freaking amazing.

Cool video, thank you for sharing. Reminds me of the The Reassembler videos that James May made a while back ago.

This is an old video (poor res quality) but was always my favorite for the intricate design and assembly of a Patek.

Didn't know Weiss was such a young company, nice field military inspired watches, i'm a sucker for 38mm sub-second watches

Co-founding member of Anthrax, gives up music and becomes a master watchmaker. Only American to be able to work on Chopards high end complications. Not many good videos but google up interviews with him, they’re well worth a read.
