Weaseled my way into a trackday with some rich guys at the new track. This is the closest thing I have to something trackday suitable right now so I'll show you guys how I track prep a shitbox. The crown vic would have been OK too, but I think this with some sticky tires will be better. Speaking of sticky tires:

I actually have a bunch of track experience, both trackdays and actual racing in Chumpcar. Crowning moment was driving our teams beater CRX racecar at Laguna Seca a few years ago.

Plan of attack for getting this car ready is:
    Sticky tires
New rotors and brake pads that won't fade
Brake flush so fluid doesn't boil
Get as much negative camber as I can for free in the front end
Track alignment (I like 0 toe in the rear, slidey)
    Needs a battery tie down
Needs an intercooler pump, died at some point this winter

Did an alignment check just to see what my starting point is. Rear is basically perfect, just needs a slight toe tweak. Front is a good starting point, going to slot some holes next time I work on it and get it as close to -2.0 degrees camber as I can. My "ideal" alignment for a trackday in a FWD or AWD car is usually:
    Front camber -2.0
    Front toe +0.10
    Rear camber -1.5
    Rear toe 0.00

Cops recovered it quickly and then I spent the afternoon today dealing with impound dicks and getting it back to the shop.

    Stolen:
    Turbo
    Intercooler setup
    Gauges
    Stereo

    Broken:
    Ignition/steering column
    Right Rear corner window
    Right front door handle
    Whole bunch of interior trim

    Fuck, sorry to hear dude

Seems targeted, who the fuck knows to and/or cares to steal a fucking turbo? That's the first I've heard of that. And its not like the turbos are in an easy spot on Subies.

I think they saw the gauges when scoping it earlier and got lucky. No way to know its turboed from the outside, and if it were targeted and they knew me and the car they'd know the turbo is chinese and only costs 200 bucks brand new.

They were only running on hopes and dreams before this.

Sorry, this really sucks. I assume insurance doesn't care?

So what's next for ya buddy? Rebuild? Build another? Focus on the cop car? Build me something? The world is your oyster.

Slam it back together enough to drive it for winter, I just put brand new tires on it two days before it was stolen. And then easiest thing would be re-turbo it because the oil lines and downpipe are still there, but I am also thinking maybe junkyard m62 blower setup.

Was this the car that was used to pull an ebrake forward J turn going after a hit and run fucknut a few years back?

If so, you MUST fix it, that has great Beyond history. I had no idea you could be a Chinese turbo for $200. I'm way out of that game, that's pretty cool.

This was the turbo setup that was on hitnrun J turn car. The original two tone lesbaru was getting a little too rough after the hitnrun and years of winter driving, so I got this cleaner blue one two years back and transferred the turbo stuff over.

Dude broke my column to get the ignition tumbler out, rigged it back together with a steel sleeve.

Went and picked up a window from the wreckers and installed it today after cleaning up the leftover glass shards.

Buddy donated a GT35 he got for free due to an amazon dispute, put it on today. Actually spools great despite it being huge for a 2.5L

Just going to run it non intercooled this time. With this being a winter only car and only 6psi of boost, charge temps will be fine.
