Strong westerly winds will increase in strength tonight.
The southwestern Foothills will see the strongest winds, with gusts between 120 and 150 km/h expected by Thursday morning.
Farther north, in Kananaskis Country gusts to 100 km/h are expected. In Nordegg, gusts to 90 km/h are likely, and finally, in areas from Lethbridge to the Cypress Hills, wind gusts to 100 km/h are likely.
The winds will diminish by Friday morning.
