Supposed to clear up to a 5 tonight and 4 tomorrow, but it's pretty brutal right now (10+) if you aren't in a filtered building.

Im picking up a higher rated furnace filter again this summer. It really does work in improving the in-house air quality with just the fan running - according to the internal Air Quality measurements.
My HVAC is set up so that it's constantly drawing in outside air when the fan is running. I need to fix that as it's counterproductive when the air is smoky, or when I'm running the AC.

@ExtraSlow - perfect cheese smoking temperature!?
Hah, it just might be. Keep the cheese shaded though, as the sun could melt it even with this smoke.

Drove from Fort St John to Calgary yesterday and the sky was pretty dark and smoky from Whitecourt to Pigeon Lake, light haze and smoke the rest of the drive.
I was hoping it would take another day before it gets down here in Calgary.

To add some context to what a rating of 999 in Edmonton at 7pm last night looked like, I took a screen cap of the webcam image:

You can see the smoke in our hanger, and the doors haven't been opened since this morning.

Received an email from Calgary minor soccer, which said they suggest that games are cancelled or postponed but said it’s up to the ref and it’s a game time decision, seriously?

Cochrane minor soccer says games will not start or continue if AQHI is 7.0 or higher. Forecast here tomorrow @ 8am is 5 and dropping.

Smoke is clearing out nicely, just took my car to get some pizza and there was a few km visibility up by beacon hill.

Looks like some big stuff around Crossfield with two seeding planes airborne.

Thats got to be one of the biggest storms (highest tops) in memory - and yet not even a fucking storm WATCH (not warning) in Calgary area right now. Its going to touch the airport area by the looks of it.

Happens every year - EC drops the ball as usual.

I've seen around 10 usually - that plus the SIZE of this thing ... woah.

EC NOW issues a warning ... late as usual for the people up in the Northern part of the city.
