Supposed to clear up to a 5 tonight and 4 tomorrow, but it's pretty brutal right now (10+) if you aren't in a filtered building.

My HVAC is set up so that it's constantly drawing in outside air when the fan is running. I need to fix that as it's counterproductive when the air is smoky, or when I'm running the AC.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Hah, it just might be. Keep the cheese shaded though, as the sun could melt it even with this smoke. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Drove from Fort St John to Calgary yesterday and the sky was pretty dark and smoky from Whitecourt to Pigeon Lake, light haze and smoke the rest of the drive.
I was hoping it would take another day before it gets down here in Calgary.
To add some context to what a rating of 999 in Edmonton at 7pm last night looked like, I took a screen cap of the webcam image:
and what it looks like right now - same webcam image
We’re at 14.4 cigarettes right now... Edmonton hit about 30 yesterday!
I really wanted to take the roof off the Jeep this weekend too...

You can see the smoke in our hanger, and the doors haven't been opened since this morning.
Received an email from Calgary minor soccer, which said they suggest that games are cancelled or postponed but said it’s up to the ref and it’s a game time decision, seriously?
Sig nuked by mod.
Cochrane minor soccer says games will not start or continue if AQHI is 7.0 or higher. Forecast here tomorrow @ 8am is 5 and dropping. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Looks like some big stuff around Crossfield with two seeding planes airborne.
I have to drive to Red Deer... I don't know if I should go now and race the clouds or wait.

It will be like a scene out of Mad Max
I'm gonna wait out the monster cruising down the highway haha.
Thats got to be one of the biggest storms (highest tops) in memory - and yet not even a fucking storm WATCH (not warning) in Calgary area right now. Its going to touch the airport area by the looks of it.
Happens every year - EC drops the ball as usual.
12.9? That's pretty normal isn't it?
I've seen around 10 usually - that plus the SIZE of this thing ... woah.
EC NOW issues a warning ... late as usual for the people up in the Northern part of the city.
