Life expectancy is around 82, so I would argue middle age starts at 41.

It's crazy to think of someone who can collect a pension as "middle aged" in my mind. If there are four stages of life, here's roughly how I consider them.

Childhood 0-18
Early adult 19-34
Middle age 35-55
Old age 55+

I would change early adult and middle age to like 19-29 and 30-55.
