So how much snow do you think we'll see for the long weekend? Weather network says 20cm+, weather underground says <1cm, only a slight difference there
If you look at weather underground on your computer, the snow volume is bugged and has been forever. For example is says Friday 3mm-7mm but the App says 3" (76mm). The App always has the correct/intended value.

Environment Canada says 5-10cm which is 2-4", perfectly in line with Weather Underground (app).

I hate snow, I'm just happy it's coming Friday so the roads will be mostly back to normal by Tuesday.

Or maybe he just felt like driving it that day? I'm sure he's got more than one vehicle for winter driving. The amount of times I used to get the massive itch to drive my "summer car" in February, but I couldn't afford to get the paint all shitty, and didn't like the idea of salt on the undercarriage either.
Yeah who knows. He might have very well went and ordered a set of rims and specialty winter tires on impulse just to drive his car for a day. I don't know the guy. But there is a guy in Edmonton who drives his all year, that's basically what I was thinking of.

I'm just amazed it's actually happening on the Saturday of a long weekend, instead of a Sunday night.

It got me many times too before I noticed the bug. I have sent WU an email on it but never heard back. There was definitely a few days where I was thinking to myself that it was snowing way more than the forecast called for haha.

I was planning on driving to Calgary tomorrow evening or Saturday morning. Not sure which will be worse...

I might do 7am on Saturday as there will be the fewest vehicles on the road at that time hopefully and still light.

If your battery goes bad in this weather then suck you suck at being a car owner lol.
Anyone who sucks at being a car owner and is also cheap, princess auto has 1A "smart" battery chargers on sale right now for $13 (reg $25). Small enough you can close you hood with it hooked up and cheap as hell.

Even come with sae quick connects for both clamps and permanent install. Those quick connects are worth a few bucks and are the same as battery tender brand and several other use, so decent deal just for that.

I nearly got rear ended on the drive home Friday evening. I was waiting in a line up to turn left. I could see in my rearview mirror a driver just not paying attention to the road conditions and then suddenly slamming her brakes to stop. That freaked me out and got the adrenaline going.

With any luck, the last night of bonechilling cold, to be replaced with merely cold.

Shoveled the sidewalks and driveway four times this weekend due to drifting snow. Front drive garage and reverse pie=no place to pile the snow.
    Seriously can't take winter anymore.

This is one of my gripes with this style of home/lot.

This winter was so mild and easy until the start of February. It's been pretty steady since then though, which is hard on peoples attitudes.
