Today everyone was begging for Friday appointments! Tomorrow I will await the slew of cancellations... lol
I don't even have a car that has winters right now. I sold it 2 weeks back, and am getting by on all seasons.

Thought the NW is usually the worst for snow. Nothing much on the roads, just wet. Traffic was pretty normal too. Exact same commute times as yesterday and Wednesday. Wouldn't have been a problem for summers.

Nothing on the roads coming from the west. Its not even below 0. Much ado about nothing.

So is it the east that got hammered then? All I'm hearing on the radio is that Airdrie got fucked.

We're definitely in a weird weather strip, and ive only been here for 4 months. We got ~6" in the deep south of airdrie, it was -4 this morning at 6;00 am, 8 st was pure ice and a nightmare this morning.

so ya, straight fucked compared to calgary. Seems to be a bit of a trend.. when do i get my hail claim?

It's wierd patchy snow. High river nothing, Cargill i swear is 6-8", more than enough to make the highway greasy and lanes obliviate. Okotoks nothing.

Interesting, I left for work just after 4am and the roads were just wet and clear of snow all along Yankee blvd from Kingsview SE. I wonder if I missed the worst of it because it was still hovering around 0 when I left

I had ~2" in Hawkwood this morning. My all seasons were fine in the slush.

Nothing bad on my my routes from DT to the SW yesterday. Roads were just wet, bit of styrofoam-like snow build up on the grass. Traffic moving normally. Roads DT are already bone dry with zero buildup on the sidewalks/grass.

About a month ago the forecast was for a few weather "events" in April so this is right on schedule and thankfully appeared to be minor.

Forecast out to the 21st seems pretty good, lots of 13-16C days.

ha, so odd. East side didnt get hammered like the west? Odd weather bubbles for sure. Our neighbourhood (southwindws) had 6" ruts of icey/frozen snow out to 8 street where it was sheet ice when i left at 6:10. CP truck had managed to cross the lane and do quite the 360 trick in the far ditch

The snow really started coming down about 4:45pm around Chinook and by the time I got to Southland the flakes were MASSIVE! And by 6:00pm in Canyon Meadows there was at least 1.5-2" of snow.

Midtown Airdrie..almost a foot of the heaviest snow ever. Worst part is going out to my winter vehicle on the street in the morning, thing was covered in hard frozen caked in snow.

Can't complain though, left Quarry Park around 5pm in my 370Z and it was starting to stick...

Barely any snow accumulation in the far SE. Roads were wet but clear. This morning there is a very small amount left on the grass.

I also swapped to all seasons yesterday.

Problem with Calgary is that we are so far north and such high altitude that 9 months of the year if cloud and precipitation is in the forecast it's likely going to cool to snow temperatures rapidly drop when the sun exits the picture. Hell just going up Sarcee Trail climb from Crowchild trail, once you hit Country Hills Blvd it's like entering a completely different climate zone.

+1, left for work at 6 this morning and it was pretty good black ice on the back roads all the way into Calgary.
