I use an engine blocker heater, oil pan heater, coolant heater, battery warmer, and battery charger. I also drain the oil of my truck when I park, and keep it in the warm office all day on the stove, then pour it back in my truck before I leave for the day.

Anything less, and you're an idiot.

Well, shit. I've just left the truck running 24 hrs/day. Should I plug in the oil pan, battery, and block heater too while it's idling at night?

Because the oil will cool down when it hits a cold oil pan after pouring it back in, duh.

A cabin heater is just overkill.

Duramax fired up like it was summer after being plugged in for the night. Might cold start the Vette later for fun.

That sucks! What kind of vehicle? I have never seen that before. Although I have noticed some cold days nav screens that are slow to respond.

My Duramax started up like shit unplugged but it started none the less lol. I have a construction bin in the driveway and have to park across the street. 5 seconds of slow cranking and some lopey idle to start but it purred like a kitten after a min.

My Jeep has shot a nice cloud of smoke out the back for a good 15s each time I have started it up after an overnight in this weather. Nice screech to go along with it.

    Fucking Chrysler products...

I got the common TPS error code on my 5.3L chev engine. Of course they have a TSB for extended warranty on it, and of course I'm 5,000kms past the extension (only good to 192k kms).

Only a $40 part, and likely an hour of my time, but still. Fucking Chevy. Never had a problem with my 4Runner, I miss it.
