I never really saw the appeal of the app start either until i got mine. The problem with most 2ways is the range so unless you're at home/work youre not close to enough to start it and have it warm when you get in.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I know a guy at a shop that was quoting me closer to $550 with 3 years subscription included on my push-start car. He did my buddy's A4. Not sure if your Rover requires much more hardware or not but give me a shout and I can connect you with him. He does it on the side so could save you some cash. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

So I know that this OP is from the beginning of the month but I figured Id chime in. That vehicle is definitely doable but you have to give up a key to be used for the install on it. The last one I did I used viper product and a smartstart, yes there is a yearly fee but at least the first year is included, its about 70 bucks USD a year if I recall correctly. I charged about $1000 installed for the product with all the gear, worked great when it was done. Just does start and stop though, keyless is currently not supported but the factory fob remains active at all times so customers just use that to lock unlock the doors and then the app to start the vehicle when desired.
And as for the post right above mine, plenty of PTS cars would be in that 550 range installed for a remote starter but this Rover is not one of them, very different animal from most.
