    Default 2019 Property Assessments

    Up a whopping 0.8%

I notice they left the "revenue neutral" tax number out this year. Probably confused too many people, and pissed them off when the real tax bill came.

Jesus Christ. So, if your assessment is almost 40k less than the balance of your mortgage and you gotta refinance next year, for a lack of a better term, are you fucked?

No, your city assessment has zero to do with what the bank will think the property is worth. They are likely to do thier own assessment.

Although, if you aren't moving, you may not need a refinance.

Ah ok. Nope I'm not moving, gonna need major renos before I can contemplate that! Next time I'm gonna do more homework, especially on realtors and keep my eagerness in check. For the time being I have a roof over my head.

There's a couple really helpful mortgage guys on beyond. If you have questions, I urge you to ask those guys.

Mine is up 5% this year... average for Vancouver is down 2% according to the details
We are up by 17%, Vancouver condo. Thankfully, current market doesn't reflect the assessment. I'm looking to buy a home here ASAP. Things haven't been this cool since 2012.
