    Default The Mandela Effect?

I've been intrigued with this topic for quite some time now. There's tons of theories out there that the past is somehow getting re-written and things around us now have subtle yet mind boggling differences. Theories range from the consequences of particle collision experiments tearing into the space time continuum, to dimensional shifts gone wild all the way out to the super elite somehow managing to time travel. I have a theory of my own as to what seems to be causing all of this. But before we get into that I've listed a few examples, and would like to hear how you all remember these. Here we go.

    1. In The Three Little Pigs the wolf says, I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house (?_______?)

    2. What color/make was the van that the terrorists were driving in Back To The Future in the mall parking lot scene where Doc gets killed?

    3. The Mister Rogers opening theme song went like, It's a beautiful day in (?______?) neighborhood

    4. In James Bond's Moonraker, was Dolly (the little pigtailed girl who helped Jaws free himself from the aerial tramway crash) wearing braces when they smiled at each other?

    5. What if I told you, that Morpheus never actually said that in The Matrix?

    6. Do airplanes look different at all? (this one completely nullifies and invalidates my theory)

    Let's hear it!

Just sacrifice 5 minutes Googling Mandela Effect. Too much content/opinions to suggest any particular one but I think it's a fascinating topic.

This is was my intro to the Mandela Effect. I could have sworn that it was Berenstein Bears.

In the near future we invent a machine that lets us choose from multiple multiverses.

    OR

The AI has already won, humanity has already been wiped out - and we are simply running simulations with billions of tiny variances to determine what went wrong, and the longest probable outcome. Also: We are currently in a multiverse that has extended out because the USA got it ass handed to it in both Vietnam and Korea, otherwise this particular simulation would have ended long ago. To continue this outcome, the USA must continue to shrink into a pure defensive stance (wall building at borders).

I've known people who swore they saw the episode of Oprah where Tommy Hilfiger made those racist statements.

Look for more articles down the road on Simulation theory. This is gathering more mainstream Physicist's acceptance. Right now about 20-30% of them subscribe to this theory. One observation that points to this is that the speed of light in a vacuum is NOT constant when you look at very small numbers. The measurement accuracy today is good to about the 8th decimal place - yet physicists are seeing variations at the 5th decimal place.

Besides Mandela effect, things like "glitches in the Matrix" are being reported by people. YT has some very strange (and tough to fake) videos of some examples of large aircraft motionless in the sky.

The dimensional shift/timeline jumping theory is a part of this - the memories of the collective are that of a previous mass event.

Other quirks - weird synchronicities that are waaayy too unlikely to be random.

The problem for me is the unwillingness for people to accept and understand memories are EXTREMELY fallible and people believe that a few people agreeing with their perspective somehow confirms it.

Collective ignorance/stupidity is a very real thing and we should all see that blatantly obvious with social media exploding.

Unfortunately you will never divorce those human failings from any background effect going on and further those human failings are a first order effect.

People don’t want to accept they are fallible. This topic is actually more about psychology than it is physics.

Agreed. Some friends and I discussed this long ago before we'd ever heard of the Mandala Effect. As an example, one buddy admitted "remembering" a vacation when he was 3 years old most of his adult life, then one day while visiting his parents, they bring out the old photo albums. He suddenly realizes that his memories of that vacation were actually memories of the photo's along with the stories from his parents of that vacation probably told many times while he was growing up.

Berenstein Bears was the biggest mindfuck for me.

Also definitely thought Mandela was dead before he actually died. Same with Mohamed Ali.

I am definitely on board with this sort of explanation vs time travel or space time disruption stuff. I also think that Google exploits this by manipulating search results in order to further fuel this collective mindfuck. Why? To get the real nutjobs posting video after video after video about it. More videos = more ads = more revenue. As is usually true with any conspiracy theory you gotta follow the money. Fascinating topic nonetheless. But until I see something change in front of my eyes, I'm writing it off as nothing more than Google and corporate greed.

    Google is pure evil.

People's memories are bad, for once I agree with J-Hop and Tik-Tok.

I've been seeing a meme floating around lately in pop culture that is from a recent TV show. The meme's phrasing of what was said is incorrect, but the "meme" version is how everyone says it even if not the actual quote.

Happens with surprising regularity. "Luke, I am your father" was never spoken by Darth Vader, but it's probably the most iconic Star Wars line.

Early example of can't-believe-everything-you-read-on-the-Internet. There was a far-ranging story (spread mostly via email chains) that Tommy Hilfiger had gone on Oprah and said something along the lines of "I'd have never started making clothes if I knew black people were going to wear them". Turns out the whole thing was made up, but to this day there's still people out there that believe it. IIRC, Hilfiger had never even been on Oprah, and only appeared on the show years later - at which point both he and Oprah refuted the story.
