I have selected that $50 CAN-US plan for my next renewal date. Give me 5g data instead of the "simulated 3g" I was on. Wonder if I'll even notice, lol.

Drive your costs down ppl
Virgin gave me $35 for 30gb. Unlimited canada calling, worldwide text. They didn’t have any free US roaming plan unless I lived in Quebec unfortunately.
$60 plan with $25 non-expiring credit through their winback department

That seems like a good plan but if it's winback I assume it's for old clients only.
I thought I had a decent personal line (mine and wife) with Telus but just got $130 for that last month when it's supposed to be around $100 plus tax for both. Some additional charges from US calls I think but haven't looked too closely.
The Public plan I got for work, I am running dual SIM on my iPhone 14 Pro Max and sometimes Public shows more bars than Telus - go figure.
Will think about swapping the 2 Telus lines to something public as well perhaps but ideally I'd like something Canada/US more so than 30GB data or more. I am typically under 10GB usage anyway so would be okay with 20GB.
Current/old. You can call and set a cancellation date a month out then they'll call you and have offers to stay. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If non-virgin customers wanted it, you just have to sign up for any plan ($39 for 20gb probably) for at least 90 days then call and set a cancellation date and can get it.

Apparently Freedom, so Videotron, so Rogers here.
90% off during beta?
Didn't sign up to see what's the gotcha.... but $4.40/mth for USA and Canada 40GB is best I have seen?
EDIT: No Esim, No Wifi Calling.

BYOP 30 GB for $34/month at Koodo (I have referral)
Ultracrepidarian
Given that most of Beyond hate French people I don't see Fizz going over well here.

As much as Canadians hate things. They are cheap above all else.

If I was a poor university student, I'd hop on this.
Are cell phone plans cheaper in Nigeria?

Unfortunately, not.
If you can get someone to buy you amazon gift cards, it help offset the cost.
Some of these plans are interesting. Im getting pretty sick of Telus.. wife has been a customer for 15 years and get worse deals than new customers. Might be time to BYO phone to one of these cheapos
Well, with the "mainline telcos" you should cancel your service at least every few years. Don't even have to buy a new phone, just swap with your existing phone and Telus will likely try to bring you bavk with a deal. Right now is an excellent time of year to do that.

I have a permanent 20% off on my Telus account for both my lines.
It seems persistent to whatever plan I select as I’ve upgraded my plan 3 or 4 times since joining. did the math on how many days a year im in the US and now I’m on one of the US-CAN plans, more per month but overall in a given year it works out cheaper and now I have something ridiculous like 150GB of data. I don’t even use the wifi at work now lol.

I worked for one Calgary Oil Company that has everything fun blocked on corporate Wifi, including beyond. Data is nice.
