Moved over a bunch of lines to telus on black Friday for their $35 month 200gb plan business plan. They screwed stuff up really bad and now no department wants to fix it.

I needed to add an extra service to get the maximum discount. They asked who's internet I use. Told them star link. They recommended business wifi extender option for $15. Turns out it can't be used with star link. To get to this point They cancelled the first 2 appointments I had set. On the 3rd appointment I was informed.ed it can't be installed.

Not sure why... so now I'm paying significantly more per line without this add on. And telus just wants to avoid fixing the issue.

This was not worth the time involved to switch.

Well Telus owns koodoo and Public, do it all ends up in the same pockets. But yeah why pay more?

Can check out cellphone man as well. Never used, sounds good. Weird process.

If you don't need US roaming included my preference is still Virgin mostly because the winback plans have discounts that don't expire. So it's nice to just set it and leave it and not need to keep calling in every year or two. $34/30gb but if better options pop up then I would have to call in go to lower.

Word. The promotional plans on Public don't expire either, so if you get on a great one, it stays forever. That's the kind of life we should all be aspiring to, set and forget savings.

I don’t think any of my promotional plans with Telus have ever expired, at least not for mobility. I only change when something better comes along.

These virgin plans look good. $13 roam like home in US. Unlimited Canada -> US texting included. US calling w/o a plan 0.75 / minute. $35 / 30gb of LTE

This is all a guy like me really needs

$13/day. $19USD buys you 10GB for 30days off esim sites. And as long as your telecom are not asshole about geoblocking wifi calling, buying an esim for secondary slot on your phone is cheaper than most of these roaming plans.

If you travel to the states, may as well have a can-us plan. Roaming like home is a scam.

Now that I have things sorted I'm pretty pleased with Public Mobile, my referral code is MWLPV5.

Thx @ExtraSlow for doing all of the hard work to get us Public folks here.

Now I see Rogers is dropping rates to $55, still not competitive enough for my needs.

Got the extra 20GB. The lady said there is no expiry date? That would be good! Our old plan was with 6GB. So far with the Fido plan we are at under 1GB, 10 days remaining in the cycle. Guess we can use our data more freely :-)
