Whoever emailed the contact for the Rogers deal, you need to include your callback number. He can't email you back from his work email.

He just let me know that two people emailed him with no phone number: One person on here with name S**** R***, another person with email ja***@gmail.com (sorry i got so many PMs don't know who is who). If you are one of these guys, send him a follow up email with your contact phone number and he will get back to you.

Anyone still waiting for a callback from rogers winback for the $36/25GB deal? The guy who set me up just called me (apparently i was on their list for a callback for some reason) but i reminded him i was already set up. I mentioned that some people i referred were still waiting for a callback and he said they just started back up yesterday after taking some time off for holidays.

pm me if you're still waiting and ill give you his email, you can email him directly and that should make things quicker hopefully.
    PM'd

never got a callback from the initial prescreen call thanks!

Yup. Inlaws on public mobile, flawless. They're Telus retirees so they have really cheap pricing.

My parents are too cheap to switch to anything else.

My grandfathered Telus plan is $80 for 3 lines (1 w/ data, and 2 of them w/500 minute voice). Public is marginally cheaper and I get slightly more data, but not cheap enough for me to spend the effort to switch over.

I missed a call from area code 437. For the people that received a call back, did it came from Toronto 437?

got the 25gb for $45/mth with a 20% discount so about $36, waived $45 activation fee, discount is applied for 2years. it is not a contract so month by month is what he says.

currently waiting for my SIM to arrive in the mail but just got emails this morning that my account is now active.

    Received the call yesterday.
He offered me 25gb/$45 with 20% discount on the first line. So that is $36
Second line (My daughters line) $45
Apple Watch another additional $10 (needs to be added after the phone is active.)
    VVM another $7
So all in it will be $98/Month + taxes.
Which is slightly cheaper than what I am paying for Telus and Koodo. About $30 less/month.
One thing to note, data is capped at 25gb. No throttling. Data will be cut off after 25gb and you need to purchase additional data. - I know 25gb is lot and currently it is not an issue because everyone is WFH. Once you start travelling outside you could easily exhaust that.

To be honest I rarely ever have my wifi on and I am always using data and I've never gone over 20gb. Your usual social media, mail, work, browsing usage. Don't really watch any long movies or anything on the phone though so that could matter.

I can hardly use 4gb/mo, and i'm not shy about streaming music or web surfing when I'm out of the house. Watching movies would do it.

I think you need to be pretty into watching videos on cellular to get to 20. Unless you are updating your apps on cellular for some reason I guess.

Same plan but on a contract. He said only contract can 'lock' the pricing for 2 years.

The term contract never came up with me. I don't care either way, cause never gonna get a plan cheaper than that. But my understanding is that the 'contract' sort of only kicks in if you purchase a device as well, which I did not. Also, FWIW, both of my lines are at $36/month, though I know they didn't want to do that and I had to push on that a little bit to get it. And yes activation fee waived.
