With people being home most of the time, and thus on wifi, seems like the perceived downside of Public Mobile is even less.
A $40/mo cell bill seems like a good idea in these tough economic times.
Still get unlimited Canada talk and text and 5gb of data for when you leave your house.

I did. Went to the online chat to complain that there was no previous mention of increasing the rate. Got $15 credit to cover the increase for the next 3 months. Their explanation was "To strive to deliver the best products and services, we continually invest in developing new features, providing world-class entertainment and improving the reliability of our network. To support these investment and to recognize the increased costs associated with delivering a best-in-class network we increase the rate of our services from time to time."

Telus has 20GB for $75 until the end of the month. Should see if Bell will match.

Yeah surprised to see it as well! Had the $50 to start and thought it was a great deal but now its at $70 and i barely use half my Data at all!

Called Bell - they were unable to lower the plan but switched me to 10GB unlimited for the 70$ (5$ off usual). Meh.

This is tempting. Have no issues with Fido. Currently have two contracts that ends in November. We got IPhone 8s last time and have a bit of a balance.
